DATACAP HONORS END USERS AT ITS 2008 CAPTURE CONFERENCE

Capture Vendor Recognizes Innovative Applications, Compelling Benefits and Value, and Smooth Implementations

Tarrytown, NY, October 7, 2008 - Datacap, the leading provider of flexible document capture and forms processing software solutions, announced its 2008 Excellence Awards at its third annual 20/20 Capture Conference. Held in September, the Conference drew the largest attendance to date of end users, resellers and technology partners.
Datacap created its Excellence Awards to recognize organizations that have maximized the utilization of Datacap's Taskmaster software, demonstrated an exemplary process for implementation, and shown a strong commitment to working together to achieve success. The four companies honored for their achievements are: Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Operating Engineers Funds of Southern California (Local 12), Murphy-Hoffman Company, and Kent County, Michigan.
Datacap CEO Scott Blau said these companies deserve the highest honor for committing to process improvement with Datacap capture solutions and delivering powerful benefits to their organizations. "The success of demanding applications like these depend on good communications, careful project management, and a willingness to tackle issues head-on, which all four companies have demonstrated in an exemplary manner."

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company's Accounts Payable and IT departments made a commitment to assure the success of streamlining and automating invoice data entry. The Taskmaster for Invoices application installed by Datacap Channel partner EKI Consulting integrates IBM/FileNet, SAP, Lotus Notes, and Canon scanners. The implementation involves significant document volume and complex workflows. Throughout the process, Goodyear worked closely with EKI and Datacap and showed a special understanding of how Datacap technology works, managing IT and human issues in a way that assured a successful outcome.

Operating Engineers Funds of Southern California (Local 12) transformed itself by dramatically streamlining a very cumbersome paper process for medical claims with the installation of Taskmaster for Medical Claims to automate health claims capture for OEF membership. Datacap Channel Partner Capitol-Image delivered the solution to add value to an imaging solution that includes OnBase from Hyland Software and Bowe Bell + Howell scanners. This application has saved the union thousands of dollars in reduced headcount, reduced storage space, and a much more accurate and rapid processing of claims.

Murphy-Hoffman Company
(MHC), a truck sales and leasing powerhouse in the Midwest demonstrated a significant Return On Investment in a relatively short period of time. Working with Datacap partner Cutting Edge Solutions of Kansas City, MO, the company connected 61 remote sites with distributed scanning, using Fujitsu scanners, Taskmaster Web, and an OnBase ECM system from Hyland Software. By their own estimation, MHC will save more than $400,000 every year in document shipping costs and improved processes.

Kent County, Michigan is a model for demonstrating how smaller organizations can properly integrate new technologies and improve processes by transforming its paper system to a county-wide electronic content management system. The County's IT team recognized that introducing new technology is primarily a "people issue," so they chose a high profile department where they knew they could deliver impressive results and build a successful program that other departments would want to join. Datacap Channel Partner DatabankIMX helped integrate Taskmaster for Invoices with PeopleSoft, OnBase from Hyland Software and Fujitsu scanners to automate the county's Accounts Payable and Purchasing System. The program has been so successful that they are rolling it out to the court system, with HR and other departments not far behind.
