Datacap Capture Conference Garners Wide Interest

End-Users and Partners Exchange Ideas in Tarrytown

Tarrytown, NY - October 5, 2006 - Datacap announced today that its annual Datacap Capture Conference, held on September 25 and 26th, 2006 in Tarrytown, NY, was an unqualified success. A hundred end-users, prospects, integrators, industry analysts, and technology partners, from as far as Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia, convened at the Tarrytown House Conference Resort for education, information exchange and fun!

Attendees had an exclusive preview of forthcoming Datacap solutions, including Taskmaster 7.0, the first public demonstration of the new auto-indexing and classification solution, known as Datacap Wordfire. SOA was also extensively covered with an update of Taskmaster Web Service - an AIIM 2006 "Best of Show" award winner - and an overview of SOA initiatives from many Datacap partners.

Keynote speaker Pamela Doyle of Fujitsu overviewed ECM and Capture industry developments.  Pamela also highlighted case studies of a number of Datacap customers for their innovative approaches to ECM using Datacap Taskmaster capture software.

"Everyone that I talked to stated they had a great time and the conference exceeded their expectations by far!" said Jack Roberts, co-founder of Datacap channel partner Cutting Edge Solutions. "I am really looking forward to the next conference and the next release of Taskmaster software!"

The technology sponsors for the Datacap Capture Conference were Fujitsu, OnBase, Panasonic, Parascript, Canon, Westbrook, DocuWare, Böwe Bell + Howell, Filebound, Kodak, Océ, Kofax, and Visioneer.

Datacap partners joined Datacap to deliver a full curriculum of sessions, covering every aspect of capture, from invoice processing and claims processing to auto-classification and increasing recognition accuracy. Datacap customers, including Kansas City Board of Public Utilities, presented detailed case studies of their Datacap applications.
