Datacap Introduces FastDoc Capture

Tarrytown, NY, March 31, 2009 - Datacap, the leading provider of flexible document capture and forms processing software solutions, today announced FastDoc Capture, a new, document capture software product that combines indexing automation with recognition, ease of use, and at a price point normally associated with basic capture products that lack automation.

FastDoc Capture augments Datacap's flagship capture platform, Taskmaster, as an entry-level solution that offers optical character recognition, with rules-based validations and out-of-the-box integration into Microsoft SharePoint. A Universal Output Format also gives customers a flexible file for integration path to IBM FileNet, OnBase, and other ECM systems.

The compelling value that FastDoc Capture brings to the market is the automated capture of index fields to eliminate manual keying. Leveraging innovations Datacap has made in Taskmaster, FastDoc Capture remembers document types and data field locations after processing them once. There is no complicated set-up of templates or programming required. Simply begin scanning and FastDoc Capture starts learning document types and data locations "on the fly." There are also no hardware dongles required and pricing is not based on document volumes, allowing unlimited volumes to be processed per installation.

FastDoc Capture works with all document scanners and multi-function peripherals, using the TWAIN driver, and it boasts an attractive and intuitive user interface for scanning, document separation, and verification.  FastDoc Capture delivers essential document capture functionality to organizations seeking to accelerate the scanning and indexing of records, contracts, shipping paperwork, healthcare and government documents.
