Hallmark was selected based on process improvements that led to gains in productivity and profitability.
Hallmark Cards selected a solution designed by Cutting Edge Solutions of Kansas City to streamline the processing of reorder tickets. These tickets are sent to a Kansas City post office box for fulfillment. Integrating VRS image enhancement-equipped Fujitsu fi-4860C scanners with Datacap Taskmaster software, Hallmark realized significant productivity improvements and cost reductions.
The combined solution enables Hallmark to efficiently process reorder tickets from its 43,000 retail locations nationwide. Instead of assigning three full time employees to track reorder tickets, the new system has streamlined the process and now requires only one Hallmark employee to manage between five and fifteen thousand tickets daily. Order management personnel process all incoming tickets within a four-and-a-half hour window.
The implementation of Datacap Taskmaster along with Fujitsu scanners enables Hallmark to process reorders more quickly than previously, and with a higher degree of accuracy, assuring that products are back on the shelf when buyers are ready to buy.
