Capture Developer Adds More Recognition Capabilities

Tarrytown, NY - May 20, 2003 - Datacap Inc. announced today it has selected Océ Document Technologies (NASDAQ: OCENY) for automated recognition of machine print characters. RecoStar Professional, Océ's leading optical character recognition (OCR) engine, is fully integrated into Datacap's data capture solutions, including Taskmaster, the flexible capture workflow platform, Taskmaster Web for browser-based capture, and the Health Claims capture system (HCcs) for HCFA and UB-92 forms. With this latest integration, Datacap continues to deliver reliable, quality data capture solutions to its customers.

Organizations receive hundreds of pieces of incoming mail daily, much of which contains critical business data, including invoices, health claims, applications and other documents, both structured and free form. Used in conjunction with image enhancement, rules-based processing and XML technologies, RecoStar Professional enables Datacap customers to reduce, or even eliminate, manual data entry of forms and documents.
