Datacap Releases Taskmaster 6.5
Upgrades Available for Datacap Customers May
1
On May
1, Datacap will release Taskmaster 6.5, the
latest version of its flagship data and
document capture software. The new release extends
Taskmaster flexibility with features that accelerate the
setup, testing and implementation of new applications, and
significant innovations in Intelligent Document Recognition
(IDR).
To see a
recorded webinar on Taskmaster 6.5, click here
.
"Datacap has long been committed to delivering capture solutions that are both
flexible and easy to configure," said Datacap CEO Scott Blau. "Taskmaster
6.5 is a notch up in flexibility, with a
big step forward in ease of use. Taskmaster
6.5 innovations such as the Application Wizard, and
Intellocate, are a direct response to customer
requirements."
Application
Wizard
Datacap
Taskmaster is the only capture solution with the flexibility
to build custom applications and adapt to a changing
environment without expensive programming. With a vast library of
Reusable Rules, Taskmaster set-up is simply a matter of
assembling rules to control every aspect of capture, including
scanning, recognition, and export formatting. New documents
can be supported quickly with the Application Wizard, which
guides users through the set-up process. In Taskmaster 6.5, the
Application Wizard also greatly simplifies the transfer of an
application from a test environment to full
production.
Intellocate
Automates On-The-Fly Set-up of New Documents
Taskmaster 6.5
delivers a more efficient method for handling new versions of
highly variable documents like invoices. The process of setting
up a new invoice type becomes part of the standard
verification process with the new "Intellocate" feature. Leveraging "Click 'N
Key" - a user interface feature that allows a user to click on
the document image to capter the recognized value of the data
in that location. Intellocate stores the data location for
future invoices of the same format. This way new invoice
formats can be automatically incorporated into a production
system without any administrative
overhead.
Enhanced
Invoice Capture
In addition to
Intellocate, Taskmaster addresses a number of requests for the
fast and accurate processing of invoices with Taskmaster for
Invoices. The accuracy of Datacap's unique Fingerprint-vendor
ID has been further enhanced. Fingerprint ID or
matching is now a two-step process combining image analysis
with OCR results. Taskmaster 6.5 now fully supports multiple page
invoices, even when "header" data, such as the invoice total,
is on the last page of an invoice
Availability
Datacap Taskmaster 6.5 begins shipping May
1. Current users of Taskmaster under maintenance are eligible for
a free upgrade.
