Distributed Capture Webinar Sponsored by Datacap and TAWPI
Recorded version available
Would distributed scanning or indexing over the Internet help your organization
streamline processes or save money? The web seminar, "Understanding the Value
of Distributed Capture," held on December 14, analyzed this question. Industry
analyst Harvey Spencer not only predicts a surge in distributed capture, but he
provides helpful guidelines to determine the benefits of distributed capture.
Co-sponsored by Datacap and The Association for Work Process Improvement
(TAWPI), the 45-minute webinar includes a presentation by Doug Bowman, VP
of Research and Development for Taylor, Bean & Whitaker, a
Datacap customer scanning thousands of mortgage documents over the Internet
daily.
Datacap demonstrates Taskmaster Web's unique features that enable distributed
scanning and indexing. After a helpful check-list from Harvey Spencer, a
Q&A session delves into the specific interests of attendees. To view this
and other Datacap webinars, please visit Datacap's Webinar page.

Travel Sciences Markets Taskmaster Web Application to British Virgin Islands
Helps BVI Tourist Board Gather Visitor Data
Datacap reseller, Travel Sciences Inc., specializes in business-oriented
technology solutions for cruise and tour operators, vacation packagers and
retail travel distributors. In November, British Virgin Islands (BVI) selected
a Travel Sciences web-scanning solution to help increase their market
intelligence capabilities.
Visitors complete surveys upon arrival and departure. Datacap
Taskmaster Web's
distributed scanning capabilities enables the surveys to be scanned on site, at
BVI ports of entry, located on its many islands, including Tortola, Virgin
Gorda, Anegada and Jost van Dyke. Taskmaster will automate data entry,
including machine reading custom forms designed to obtain key market
intelligence. Rapid access to market intelligence will help BVI reach key
demographic groups more effectively and attract new visitors.
"Integrating Taskmaster into our technology environment enables us to offer a
cost-effective solution to overseas tourism boards that reduces manual
data-entry overhead costs, decreases processing time, and provides fast data
accessibility and reporting," says Joe Mazzarella, president of Travel
Sciences. "The Taskmaster Web component adds distributed scanning to our
capabilities, which in the case of the geographically dispersed British West
Indies, helped us meet their needs."
