Determining the accuracy of recognition results or manually keyed indexes requires data validation edits, also known as rules, which are applied to a field or sets of fields. Taskmaster enables you to easily apply rules for database look-ups, cross field validations, and simple logical checks on a field, for example, the field must be a date, or the field must be within a certain range.

Speeds Data Verification

After recognition, data is often reviewed by an operator. This is often called "verification," or "reject repair," or "character correction."  A verification screen displays both the recognition results and the original image, so an operator can decide if the recognition was accurate. Taskmaster saves time with every keystroke. If verification is slow, then the benefits of OCR can be lost. Taskmaster uses a unique "Single-pass, Modeless" interface, which means that in one pass an operator can:

• Fix low-confidence recognition results
• Review fields that have failed data validation
• Key from image any data that was not recognized.

Taskmaster highlights problem fields or characters and optimizes the keyboard with hot keys for common keystroke combinations. Operators can display the entire document image, zoom in on an image area or pan left or right for contextual information. It's a digital dashboard for super-fast verification.
