Robust Online Remote Document Scanning

With Taskmaster Web, you will not have to compromise on document scanning speed. Even if users are working remotely over the Internet, there's no slowdown. Taskmaster Web saves the images locally, in a "cache" where they are scanned. If bandwidth is an issue during work hours, a separate "upload" task can transfer images when higher bandwidth is available. Taskmaster Web is "online" remote scanning; from the moment scanning begins, the batch is centrally tracked. If a user does not transfer the batch, then administrators will know exactly where it is, even without synchronization between the central and remote locations.

Remote Document Indexing

Taskmaster Web lets you distribute indexing or recognition verification. Scan documents remotely, and then transfer them to a central location for data recognition, verification and indexing. Or you can scan centrally, and then distribute work remotely for indexing and verification.

Complete Flexibility

Customers have complete flexibility over their capture tasks, such as scan, index, recognize or verify. These tasks can be dynamically assigned to a remote or centralized, thick or thin client workstation.

Plus, Taskmaster Web is fully integrated with the award winning Taskmaster Capture Workflow Platform, so you can take full advantage of the flexibility provided by Taskmaster Rules, providing a completely rules-based capture solution. Taskmaster Web easily integrates with all leading product scanners and document management systems.

Completely Browser-Based

No software or active X controls to install. All key capabilities, from user authentication to task queuing, are supported in a browser.

Secure

Industry standard authentication, via Microsoft SSL (Secure Socket Layer), ensures that all communications are secure. Scanning and indexing can be distributed to any workstation on the Internet with a browser.

Remote System Administration

To keep a capture system running smoothly, Taskmaster provides a browser-based Job Monitor that lets a supervisor peer into the capture environment and see where all the work is and who is working on it. By applying filters, supervisors can select exactly what work they want to view, even if there are thousands of batches in process. With the proper rights, the supervisor can also delete batches and make direct changes to the properties of a batch. You can check batches in progress, or use the Job Monitor Filter to isolate individual stations or users. You can also run reports that give you up-to-date information on the system, whether you're around the corner or around the world.

TWAIN - the Industry-Standard Interface

The most common software interface from a computer to a scanner is the TWAIN interface. It is supported by hundreds of scanners - it usually comes with the scanner. That means you save money on the cost of hooking up a scanner, something that is very important if you plan on adding remote users for scanning low volumes of documents with a browser.
